The renown first growth Chateau Lafite Rothschild, in conjunction with a Chinese investment company, has agreed to develop its first China based vineyard according to Decanter Magazine. The vineyard will be developed in a region that already is home to thousands of acres of vineyards. This move by such prestigious producer is an acknowledgment of the growth potential of wine in the Chinese marketplace. It is projected that by 2011, China’s volume intake of wine will double that of 2007. First growth Bordeaux with Chinese food anyone??
