
AJ’s Fine Foods is offering its Seafood Extravaganza sale from July 15 through the 19th. We asked Kevin Anderson, Chief Cellar Master, to search out two seafood recipes, add a tasty side dish and of course pair them with wine. Kevin’s first suggestion is the Ahi Tuna with a wasabi panko crust. You can either purchase the wasabi and panko crust separately to apply as you wish or AJ’s has it prepared for you. Depending upon your preference, pan sear for 45 seconds to 2 minutes on each side. As a side dish, stir fry some fresh zucchini and pair the dish with either the Tangent Ecclestone 2007 (blended) white from California for $12.99 or Tozia Junmai Saki (chilled) for $17.99. A second choice is the Alaskan King Salmon, marinaded with citrus wasabi or ginger garlic and throw on the grill. Add in some sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes (which I love for their juicy and flavorful taste) and pair it all with either the Virdian Pinot Noir 2006 from Oregon at $12.99 or the Adelaide Schoolhouse Pinot Noir 2006 at $19.99…………..happy fishing!!
